3. Visit GST Portal
Go to the official GST portal and:
Click on “New Registration”
Select Taxpayer
Enter PAN, mobile number, and email ID
4. OTP Verification & TRN Generation
Verify mobile & email via OTP
You’ll receive a Temporary Reference Number (TRN)
Use TRN to continue the application
5. Fill GST Application (Part B)
Complete detailed information:
Business details
Promoter/partner details
Place of business
Goods & services (HSN/SAC codes)
Bank details
Upload all required documents here.
6. Aadhaar Authentication
Choose Aadhaar authentication for faster approval
OTP-based verification (or biometric if required)
7. Submit Application
Apply using EVC (OTP) or DSC (for companies)
You will receive an Application Reference Number (ARN)
8. Verification by GST Officer
Application is reviewed
If clarification is needed, you’ll receive a notice
Respond within the given time
9. GSTIN Allotment
Once approved, you get your GST Identification Number (GSTIN)
You can download your GST Registration Certificate
10. Post-Registration Compliance
After getting GST:
File GST returns (monthly/quarterly)
Maintain invoices and records
Display GSTIN at your business place
